Are you a paintball racist

rancid

Mother, is that you?
yep, but what are they all going to say? 130 people saying I agree would get a bit tiresome... so,

I think **** em. If they look like dweebs then they can stay at the far end of the safe zone and share one table between them. Christ sake, this is about the survival of the fittest and we don't want namby pampby paintball players getting in the way of the pros. It'll give us a bad image.

Clique-ballers

What-ever you call it, adn lets face it "Paintball Racist" is as good as any; I am not one (like I have the oportunity to look down on anyone...).

On the whole people aren't THAT cliquey in most of the tourneys that I have been to, though they are the Series 2002, which is pretty friendly. My experieces outside these have been pretty similar though.

Alien is not overstating things BTW, the DUPS in particualr owe him a huge debt, hell he even PLAYED for us once, most people don't want to stand close to sutdents :D

long live the friendliness of paintball tourneys

Which is exactly why I told Chris Lasoya to get lost when he came for my autograph. :D

Seriously, I see a lot of similarities between paintball and other 'small sports'. Because it's a relatively small scene, a lot of people know eachother, and that makes people somewhat more appraochable. However, now that paintball is beginning to show the signs of growing up, we also see the introduction of the big bad outside world. You know, things like thieving gits at events and such.

I like to think my team is full of smiley happy people. we will help somebody in a jam if we possibly can.

we play a lot of the midlands masters events, we used to play for full on but now we have left them and play under Apex.
If your feeling chatty/need a hand come and see us and we will see what we can do.

Rancid are you really the Prince of Darkness or is it just an affectation? :D

Personally I don't mind the fact that paintball cliques exist. Why should honest upstanding Novice players be forced to associate with cheating, argumentative and generally unpleasant Pro's? :p

Having been around pball for a deacde in my experience there are just as many cheating, bigmouth Ams and Novs as there are Pros...

And he really is the Prince of Darkness...thou I think he signs his name with a squiggle now - it's an affectation cos he calls himself tha artist formerly known as tha prince of darkness.

ageist maybe;)
put on my walker I'll kick your arse! :)

And while I'm unwilling to go quite as far as the Prince I do on occasion gets seriously p.o'ed at my guys for too much socializing during an event--it's a distraction and takes their mind off the business at hand. If everybody wants to hold hands and sing around the campfire do it after.
Rec-days or walk-ons are a completely different matter as I am routinely mocked for wasting my time fixing guns and generally helping out.

What about 'limpwrist'? as in, 'are you a limpwristed paintball player?'

I remember a great occasion once when Robbo was playing for the Nam and his team were next out. He came up and tried to ponce a 20oz off us cos his valve had gone. 'No **** off' we said. You know, he still brings this up when he's had a few 'chams.
