Anyone know anything about 360's?

so, did it just start playing up, with COD 4 ?

cuz, lots of folks have had issues with the game, are you getting 'freezing' of game play, too, not just with cod, but other games ?


Have you recently done any updates of the console ie firmware upgrades ?

*a firmware upgrade can alter the attributes on how the dvd rom drive reads.

open the dvd tray, how many holes has the tray got in it ?

brand new x box like 2 weeks old and not been used for more than 2 hours a time and it keeps freezing when i try and play pro street when i click on the contine career option music stops and it stays frozen

you say COD4 has something do do with this as it doesnt do it on any other games just pro strret and its brand new and still shiny

Take it back for a replacement (game first, and then if its the same with a 2nd copy, take the console back)
If your having problems now, in a years time, it will probably be dead.

Quite a few 360's have been known to scratch disc's as well, so even if knew it could bugger a disc immediately.

Which could account for your reading error's,etc..

mine keeps getting 2 red lights (think it is the overheating error). It's a right pain in the arse tbh.

On a side note I had a strange problem at the weekend after 8 hours of use.

The screen would have an annoying white flicker. Turned off the console and switched it back on which did nothing.

Fired it up on Sunday without any problem and was fine for the 5 hours or so I had it on.

Got mine vertical. I assumed that less surface area on the carpet would mean better cooling??

Had it in the middle of the carpet so I could reach my pc with the network cable. Knocked it over while on which caused the nice scratching sound
