Surely just a new body, new internals, new frame and new board?

Just get the pricing for each and add it up.

No...the insurance company needs proof that it would be cheaper to just replace those parts rather than get them repaired, which is the issue.
If it was that easy wouldn't everyone be doing that?

Agreed anybody can price it up what they want is an "Expert" to say that it's damaged...otherwise everybody would be doin it....
