Back to the original question, I do not think the vert regt version is not out yet, I guess we will have to wait for the new reg to be released, if you look on the front cover of the new shocker manual you will see a picture that shows a new look reg, which I guess could be the non-vertical version of this new reg.
I guess this is why spe are only selling the the ultimate package with standard maxflow included, but once the new reg is out we will be able to buy the vert version and use a standard ASA air source (or CO2) if we prefer.

That reg is the new in-line maxflo
The vert grip on that drawing is the plain gas-thru, and the grip on the shocker in my sig (and most of the early shockers sold) is actually the housing for the new vert reg, only they didn't come with the reg internals. If you take a look at the bottom of the grip there's a large nut which currently does nothing (don't turn it unless u want to be leak-tastic!
) but in the production version it will adjust the reg.
I guessed that the new reg would fit in place of the front grip, but I did not realise it was going to look the same, but that will be cool, assuming I can get one in matching blue.
