anyone else having strange internet probs today?

I work for NTL and was lucky enough to work today. My system does not cover Manchester though, no one mentioned there was a problem with the service but there might be a cabinet outage like in your street or MUX area. Networks usually have a outage fixed in 48 hours but we are not working til Wednesday on CATV or digital only lifeline customers Telco lines.

It's Christmas anyway! go see your family and friends I'm sure they're more fun and they'd be happy to see you. (that's our company excuse for not fixing your internet)

As for NTL - I used to work at the Manchester hub (when it was Nynex). If you do have a problem - then it'll be well in to the new year before you even see an NTL van - let alone manage to get an engineer out of it!

hmmmm...'NTL enigineer' - now there's an oxymoron!

WoW was up and running fine all that part of the evening, with minimal lag for a change as well (though I can't vouch for the BGs).
