anyone else having strange internet probs today?

a few weeks ago my internet connect was intermitent for a couple of days, but NTL seem to have got their asses in gear and fixed it fine but now i apear to have another problem.
it did this yesterday and a couple of times today.
i can access my email 100% fine, my connect says its there when i look in the settings thingy. i can connect to uk sites no problem....here is fine for example.
BUT i keep getting disconnected from WoW (based in Europe somewhere) and when that happens i also cant access some websites, yahoo, pbnation for example.
it seems to be like this for around an hour (give or take) at a time then is fine for a couple of hours before it does it again.
its driving me potty! anyone else seeing this?

at this time of year, and the day, there's alot of useage, but have you made sure that nothing has changed with NTL?

just thought it was strange that it appears to be very selective about what it will and wont connect too.....usually when NTL goes wonky the telly dont work eather and the connection to the internet just vanishes altogether.
nothing should have changed with NTL, couldnt find anything on their website

The euro hub for wow is in paris in the main EU hub
not certain on ntl but pipex its 1 jump from the uk not all isp's are the same

have you checked the wow main forums not server to see if other users are
having the same problems ?

had somthing the same with pipex earlyer in the year for a few days
also check out the ntl help pages asume they have some anyways

I think i know why Matt, as belived by me, Tom and Stoney, NTl have now discovered just how sad World Of Warcraft is, and have decided to block you off the server.

it will be a problem with a jump so to say

say your in manc

first jump manc exchange 2nd jump docklands for most people
then some have one more then paris
then over to the states
but some isp's depending on who they work in partnership with are different

aol

home-local-london-Ireland(where you log in ect)-then back to london for uk-paris for euro

hence on aol in the past you couldnt play on uk only jolt servers as the isp showed up as being from outside the uk irish in this case

but all of these hire space/bandwidth and machines in the exchanges/hubs not certain on how it works 100% someone explained it all but was a very long time ago
so if there is a problem elsewhere in the world it restricts your access or slows it down say if you have to travel the wrong way round the world or more jumps to get to where it would be normaly

little tipsy so might not make sense

im on ntl aswell and mines playing up, keeps coming up symnatec had to shut down or something, like msn and the net wont work but i can still download etc

im on orange....... and i've got to admit, ive not had a problem since they have taken wanadoo over, got a good deal too
