right. just bought a new board for my ion. fitted it all up and screwed in the air..turned up the pressure to 160-180psi somewhere in between. then turned the gat on with the eyes off and dry fired. all that was comin from it was a hissing sound from inside the body.when i pulled the trigger. i turned the pressure up a tiny notch and the hissing sound became a tiny tiny barely noticeable bit louder i think.. anyone know anything please?!?!

cheers

i dont own a ion, but first things first, CHECK ALL O RINGS, mainly the ones on the reg.

to make it easier for us lot, could you tell us where about the leak is coming from?
like is it the reg, or the main body?

well i wouldnt really class it as a leak. its fine, then you pull the trigger and instead of hearing a loud bang of air , theres jst a small hiss of air from inside the gun and the condom when normally would be moved by the air. it doesnt even twitch

change your battery m8....if its doing what i think (sounding like its trying to fire but cant, hence the hiss) then all it is is the battery is low.

not with the stock board, not sure bout diff boards though. ur better off using duracell batteries aswell instead of crappy cheap ones cos they will last longer

right. ive taken the grip off next to the board theres a little like small black cylinder shape thing with a hole in the bottom. the air is comin from the bottom of that. anyone know if it is definetly the battery. if so then no problems ive just gotta build the energy to go shop, but if its not then....i dunno

right that black cylinder is a capacitor and if it has a hole in it it means that ur screw has been screwed in too far and gone into it, it migh tbe alright though cos my capapcitor is like that too cos i screwed my screw in too far, just be careful for future referance. if it was the capacitor im pretty sure hte bored would not work at all making ur ion dead, it is most probably ur battery because there is not enough power to drive the solenoid. if it aint ur battery then ull know when u get a new one lol.

i thought the capacitor was the huge black cylidner with a bright sticker on it and loads of arrows and stuff. i know what ur talknig about coz i had to buy a new board coz i done that to my old one. but its a different cyylinder. you dont actually have to take the board out to see it. you jst have to take the left panel of the grips off and it is to the right of the ' mode' switch.
