Another quick question!! I purchased a load of old site Inferno recs. and they all worked fine (as Infernos do, bombproof machines...). Then one stopped working. Now Ive stripped it completely, compared all the bits to working guns, swapped pieces over, but as soon as its all back together, it just doesnt work.
All the pieces are fine, not much wear and tear, o-rings are cool, it just doesnt work!! The bolt comes forward and just stops. Some C02 vents, but not enough to recock it...
Any thoughts?

at our site we have swapped over to air but when we did, we had to change all the valves to the black ones.

try changing the valve (if you are using white, change to black or vice versa) and see if that works.

if not, check the brass valve guide for a bit of wear on the collar where the valve seals against it. over time you find that it wears down a little and doesn't seem to seal properly.

if you still have problems, just give belsales a ring on 01252 345484

Thanks guys for all the replies, Ill try go through them.

When you cock it and pull the trigger, the bolt just goes forward. You hear a popping noise of some gas getting through, but not enough to make the bolt go back. It just stays forward.
So I presumed maybe the spring was too strong, either the bolt spring, or the valve spring, changed them, and same thing...

Its really weird, everythings there that should be, everything appears to be fine, but it just doesnt work!!

Ill try out a few of the suggestions posted above...

Cheers again!!!!

Has the gun just started doing this after you stripped it or was that the original problem before you stripped it?

If this was the original problem with the gun then it sounds like the valve guide (the brass bit with 3 o'rings) has worn ...does the valve stem move freely through the guide or is it a bit stiff? If it's stiff or if there's a lot of side to side play, then there's your problem. Change the valve guide with one off another gun to check it.

Or it could be the hammer o'ring.

Another possibility is if the valve seal (the white or black bit) has come off the valve stem. This won't be obvious as the gun wont leak because the head of the valve remains in place, but as the stem is no longer attached it obviously won't open. There have been some faulty valves around recently. However, as you say 'a little co2 vents', it makes me think this isn't the problem.

2 final guesses: (1) You accidently put the back buffer in front of the hammer on reassembly??? ;) But again, no co2 would vent at all if this was the problem.. Or (2) you're not screwing your co2 bottle on all the way ;)

My money's on the valve guide.
