Yes, they are merging, but the league is also developing its venue's for next season. The result will be three main venues - one in the Bristol area, one in the Reading area, and one in the South East proper. Each region will host four of the league events making twelve events in total. Each team will be required to pick eight events from the twelve as they see fit.
In the case of Spod, I would imagine you guys would choose the South East venue and the Reading venue, meeting teams from the South West at Reading. This gives you a greater choice of venues, a closer venue to your home town, and more teams to compete against. It's all win, win, win for NSPL teams next season.
