NPPL starts behind the barricade, Mill starts in front.
Why?

I prefer in front with guns back as

a) you get that extra time for the front guys.
b) its easier to enforce that one foot in/out etc
c) fields can be shorter as less dead space behind the gate.

Starting in front of the breakboard is FAR superior to starting from behind:

¤ for the players (much less awkward)
¤ for referees (much easier to check for compliance and false starts)
¤ for spectators (looks better IMO)

plus the points Beaker makes.

The guns back part may need to be changed because, unfortunately, NXL found that they get some wild shots flying over the netting and landing who-knows-where. Therefore they changed to one foot on line and guns facing in-field and down.

Half height barricade - guns must be touching it, not just randomly backwards.

No spinning with your gun on the air.

Sound reasonable. I was thinking of something like a line about 1 meter up on or below which the muzzles must be touching.

NPPL - one foot in, guns pointing down, start box is 5 feet into the field so you don't have to worry about moving forward or making the field longer

Barricade heights have varied. I guess it depends on who's building them for that event :D

for what it's worth - I like the start in front too, but it's not a big deal to me.

Baca-surprisingly there was a pretty even split in representation of divisions, if you don't count the rules commitee. Not enough of any of course. If you want specific people pm or im me, if I post here and forget someone, I will not be forgiven:D

By player side do you mean concerns the players themselves brought up?

Simple numbers, 20, 30, whatever is good enough as I'm just curious.

By player side, yes, I'm also curious as to the impact of ideas or issues raised by team reps present.

While I'm at it--how many of 'The 18' had reps present?
Did they announce a team registration limit for the 05 season?
How 'bout the addition of the sixth field?
Pro format?
Announcement of new or continuation of the FSN TV deal?

And, yes, I'm taking horrible advantage of your willingness to help us ill-informed ballers out. Thanks, Ma.

Because I think the flag base functions as a goal and ought to be above eye-level and clearly visible with the flag status (in the case of dual-flag PB) apparent at a glance.
