The other side you got to look at dude is that is all well putting a post up here aksing if there would be intrest and people replying saying you are the best thing since sliced bread...

But how many are acutally going to come down every week/fornight/month and spend a considerable amount of money with you to make sure you can keep up your running costs + make a profit!!!

i mean a couple of fluffies here and there and a box or two of paint is all well but its not going to pay the morgage...

I dont mean to put a whole downer on the thing just give another view point and all

I'd be interested ... Live near St.Neots way so it wouldn't be that far away

And if a supair field was opened that would be amazing! closest one to me i believe is bassetts pole and thats 1.5 hrs away :p

But like ion said ... it's all well and good thinking of the idea of opening a paintball shop with your mate, but is it phesible? But if so i'd be interested :)

The first thing i would look at is more than just a quick question on here as to wether ballers would like a shop in northampton. Of ocurse there going to say yes, its close to them.

You want to do full market research as well.

Where are the other shops in the uk in relation to northampton. Are they purely web based? Do they have an actual premises? Are they tagged onto recball sites? etc etc.

At the minute in the uk we have a vast number of well established Internet and retail stores in the uk compared with the amount of ballers. If i thought about it i could probably name 10-15, that is a lot compared with the actual number of paintballers in this country, scenario and sup air included.

There are shops going out of business as well, is it feasable? You want to have a real good look before investing your hard earned ( or banks) money. Paintball is not a very easy field in which to set up businesses in. Im sure i read somewhere that the makority of new paintball sites go bust in the first year and this is with using the uk general public as customers not already committed ballers.

If you do go ahead i wish you well but dont get any grand gestures of making a big buck very quickly as im afraid unless you develop a product which totally revolutionises the whole of paintball you wont be making much money.

The shop is a good idea and along with the feild but if you can get an internet site up to take orders from the Uk then youd have all that extra bussiness to support them...
It also depends on what items you stock, if you can get a wide range of manufacturers on the shelves then even better, if its only dye and pmr gear then your limiting your customers..

Staying warm on a sunday!
local ballers will pop down, but paintballers are all a bunch of tightwads.

if they save £5 - £10 on a product they will buy online and have it delivered to them. as opposed to supporting their local dealer.

but believe me they will all pop in when their online gun/product is broken asking you to fix it for nothing.

make sure you can get competetive prices from distributors otherwise you are just going to get priced out of the market, whether you have locals or not who say HELLZ YEAH!
