im doing the circuit board myself at school...
but i cant find a variable resistor on maplins? cud i get one from an old walkman ie. volume control?

Why have variable speed, why not set it as fast as it will go?


That is what the user will do as soon as they get it.

The switch you have isnt what i had in mind. I was thinking you would use a microswitch with a metal lever like this.

a) i only wanted the variable resistor so i could easily set up the speed without having to keep changing and using resistors which would be more complicated. the variable resistor would have been glued in places at the correct current and it wud have been inside not accessible externally

b) ok yea that switch seems a lot better cheers

what about the servo is that ok?
