Any Cocker Guys Out There??

my friend bought a 2k2 mechanical autocker a few weeks ago, we setted the air system up on it and tried to put some paint through it, it fires but only like 2 feet and also there is quite a big leak at the front of the cocker, my friend thinks the timing is wrong. Can any one help??

you didn't happen to put the bolt in upside down??

where exactly from the front mate? loads of leakey bits up there to go wrong!
if its leaking very heavily from up there that could well affect the velocity of the gun as it doesnt have seperate air reservoirs for cocking gas and firing gas. things to check up there
is it leaking from one of the low pressure hoses yes/no
is it leaking from where the lpr (regulator mounted horizontaly) screws into the front block? yes/no
is it leaking from there the front block attaches to the body of the gun yes/no?
is it leaking from where the front reg (vert mounted one) attaches to the body?
once you've let us know that we can go from there. as a general rule cockers dont have hugely complicated pneumatics so leaks are fairly straightforward to find/fix.

What elrikos said. Where is the leak coming from exactly? Is it where the hose attaches ? that circle is pretty non precise.

Bad timing will only cause a leak from the 3 way. (attatched to trigger frame).

Timing can be checked by pulling the trigger slowly. The marker should fire on about 2/3rds of the way during the trigger pull and should recock on the rest of the pull. Do the same fast and it should fire too.

Velocity problems can be caused from anywhere from springs being too tight, velscrew not set in properly etc etc. Sort your leak first.

well we can try and sort the leak but we dont know any thing about cockers! we all have angels except for sandalls, he had to be different ! lol

is it pissing or gushing, does it only leak when u pull the trigger (or squeeze it)
