Any Advice?

Hi all you ballers out there! My name is Tom and i am planning on starting a new paintball team. I have all the people that will be in the team and the positions organized but they are new to tourneys and need advice for the sucsess of our team and you never know we might help you in later life! Please help us.

first advice would be to change the name.

there has been a team dyehard for a lot of years already.
second thing go and watch a couple of tournements to see how things work.

no need to change your name, it doesnt bother other teams. We have been called Storm for years and now play the PA as Milton Keynes Storm. But hey ho, Lincoln Storm came along and used the Storm name and refused to change. Wonder if they had called themselves Lincoln Nexus they would have had it as easy.

On to some advice, train often. Always try to learn something from every game. Learn how to walk fields. Become intimate with equipment daily (oo-er). And the best bit of advice is to play the very best teams you can. You will get beaten for a while but the learning curve is huge and you will reap the rewards. Never p1$$ off a paintball company, you never know when you will need them.

Watch Pro games. Try to understand the field tactics they are using. Watch how they back up players and work as a team. Watch how they dominate an area of the field, expose a weakness and then capitolise on the weakness. (Did I spell capitolise right? )

thanks for your advice. so my name is ok? good for a moment i was thinking i would have to change it to somthing worse!! if we got worse than Youth Dyehard for a youth team i would send it into the book of records i will remember never to p off a company and to train as much as possible thanks for everything

Get yourself to a local tournament and have a chat with the organiser about the rules and costs involved etc.
Try and watch how the pro's play and organise themselves, purchase some paintball dvd's to see how the yanks do it.
Definately get a copy of dynasty disected, take notes and apply them to your training, also attend a nexus seminar aswell if possible.
Make sure the teams markers are functioning properly, check your air systems are in test and uk approved and take spare hopper batteries with you!!!

Oh and upgrade your mobile contract to include at least a 1000 minutes a month cos you will need them being a manager

you need to draw breath in between sentences

boltor very true with your comments. but you were storm they came in as lincoln storm.
you then added a city name to yours. they already had a different name.

dyehard were on about the exact same name.

youth dyehard works though 'cos dye hard are well old
