WTF??

If you actually read how the guy lost it, it does beggar belief that this could happen:

"Was stolen ON THE FEILD! In a semi-final game at campaign cup, England. Had it with us as a spare gun an placed it next to the oposite dead-box during the game. Gun was stolen during play."

How?

Either of the following happened:

A Marshall stole it, NOT EFFING LIKELY!

One of his opponents stole it, but I'm sure all the players on this field would of noticed someone suddenly having a marker they didnt have before!

Some low life actually reached under the netting and managed to take it!! :(

No one saw this, reacted, said anything??

It was in the semis so the crowds must of been quite big and if he's that close to the fence then I would imagine others were too.

Someone must know something and if you do then your as big a lowlife as the thief for keeping quite and certainly no supporter of Paintball to think this is acceptable!!

The only people who had access to this area would be players or marshals.

You've covered the marshal angle, plus they would stand out a mile carrying a marker.

So its almost certain it was nicked by another player or wasn't nicked at all.

So what can we do to cover this. Other security measures couldn't cover this.
Do we have to have a player pass with a list a markers the player owns on his pass, scrutineered all around the tournament. Jeez its getting ridiculous and verging on the impossible to control.

You have enough on your plate without having to worry about thieving spectators so in effect you cant control it!

If you think it was this guys opponents why doesnt he? We will have to presume they have already been approached and denied all knowledge or been put in the clear.

As for it not being stolen, whats the motive for going on a forum and bitching about it? Having a pop at the English, the event itself or is it just an insurance scam?

The truth will out. ;)

It sounds pretty unlikely that the opposing team would be ballsy and suicidal enough to steal their opponents marker. I think it's more likely that some drunk high and retarded player stole it from under the netting. Maybe he didn't have a team jersey on at the time so decided he was going to get away with it.

Last tourney in Belgium we were playing 5man and we were six players which meant that every game somebody had to stay on the sidelines. Well on one of the games I was watching and arrived late at the game cause I had to attend to urgent matters in the boys room (ie: bombing it). I arrive at the field without my jersey and I see our extra gun resting on the netting so I picked it up. When the game was finished I went over to the next field to see the game cause there were some good teams playing and I didn't wait for my team to leave the field. What I'm trying to say is that nobody said anything. People are so into the games they're not even paying attention to whats happening on the sidelines. I could hav e been anybody but noone said a word when I walked off with the marker.
