Yes sorry I have milsims so use remotes, but I have heard some of you tourney players also use them to get the right feel on your markers, something about them being a little long with a bottle on,and I would think if prime8 is going to buy a steel bottle a remote may be better due to weight of the bottle, not sure I would like to wave one around for any length of time, but then I am sure a tourney marker even with a steel bottle would weigh the same as or less than a milsim on a remote lol,it was just an idea.

Not knocking using a remote mate, tourney players don't use them as they get in the way when switching hands quickly.

I could see how that would be an issue, and not one I had thought of,but I did say I was a milsim user :) hence any thoughts or observations regarding tourney equipment could well be totally wrong :) actually probably garaunteed to be wrong lol and I stand thoroughly corrected as to remotes and tourney markers,I shall go stand in the corner with a pointy hat on :)

Not a drama mate :) i have very little knowledge of milsim paintball as that style never really flipped my switch. You know what they say "every days a school day" :)

Remote lines originated on the tournament field so he is right, just a bit out of date

However at nvs a number of years ago a tourney player amongst us was concerned about holding a gun all day long, carrying all the paint etc so we rigged him up in a vest and remote line and he was well chuffed with an ego on a remote line. He did not need to duck and dive swapping hands all day dot that was not an issue, and he didn't have a bottle to tuck into his shoulder to steady it

Now my old Milsim argument - milsimmers will preferably do without a remote line and use something such as a 13ci in the stock
They don't want a hose hanging out for 'military simulation' if they can help it

In general woodsball and scenario you will see remote lines
It does not mean you cannot swap hands, it does mean that for most there is a stretched remote line accross your body when using the other hand, if that's important to you then reconfigure where the bottle is, use a different remote such as a non coiled one or don't use a remote

Remote lines are epic, used one with my Phenom made it so much easier, not sure how great it would be with the mini as all the weight would be infront of the wrist rather than split across it but I'm sure people could manage.
Don't buy cheap Rap4 ones though, I did and it burst on 2nd outing, **** me right up.

Going back to the original posters concerns, as long as you are using a mechanical marker and the sites you play at supply CO2, your 20oz bottle is fine for now. Maybe at some point in the future upgrade to an air bottle.

Fun fact time - you can expect about 2.5 times the number of shots out of a 20oz co2 compared to a 0.8 3000psi bottle if its filled properly.

There is a popular misconception that most sites have turned to air rather than co2, this is not true. As most people on paintball forums are own gunners then the sites they tend to go to are doing walkons and tournaments and of course those sites have air in one form or another, but these sites are out numbered by sites that just cater for rental players and most of these sites just use co2. If the site you're playing at only has air then get an air bottle ( you wouldn't take a petrol engined car to a garage that only sells diesel would you.).,
