Just get out there and use it. Thats the best way! Mine was fine straight from the box, no breaking in required.

Dryfiring to me is just one of those things I hate. No idea if it damages the gun, but I do know its painful on the old ears :) If you can help it, only dryfire when you really have to.

Edit: also here is a rough guide to our settings

For Millennium

Fire Mode - PSP
Ramp start - 8
Rate of fire - 11.5bps (may need to be on less to be safe)

Dwell and BIP does not matter everyone is different. Try these settings, and adjust to your gun.
Dwell 35 (+7)
BIP 6 (+5)

Well im very pleased with the mini now as ive got the new halo hopper and i had no split balls or brakages all day on sunday when i went to congleton walk on. The only problem now is that i think im gonna need some more pots as that thing flys threw paint lol.
