how would i go about anodizing an agd intelliframe, ive all so hear you shouldnt adonize the x valve, is that true? and can you colour match like you can with paint? also where are the best places to get this kind of work done?

thanks in advance. :D

there is a company called Acorn who do Anno - powder coating for alot or paintball manufacturers unsure of number but ill find out for you.

anything that needs annodising should be stripped completely of all seal and springs etc, if your comfortable with doing this yourself and rebuilding you will save yourself some money (SP hammered me for £25 an hour to strip a marker) - reason they say cannot guarentee reg will work again is annodising is a complete coating which will effects fitting - same goes with barrels - can change the bore size

cool, all good to know, seems like the colours are fairly compulsery though, seems you can go lighter or darker but no mention of shades or mixes. if any anyone wants to post up a picture of a particularly nice ano job feel free or email me a picture and i'll host it for you. :D

I have done some anodizing. Getting good color matches is a real tough task. It is usually much easier to just strip and anodize everything at the same time. Due to the fact that the anodized layer of the part being stripped is actually removed, tolerances may be exceeded when a part is stripped to be re-anodized. This is not usually a problem, if the shop is careful and attentive, but if a part is done more that a couple of times, it starts to be more an issue. I never worry too much about doing my own equipment, and am willing to strip and anodize even reg parts, but having osmeone else do it makes me nervous.
