ive got a black pin on my bolt, it isnt metal thou its delrin (i think) was on it thou when i bought it.... so maybe get hold of 1 of those.

steel parts tend to be a hell of a lot shiner than aluminum heavier. also steel parts can rust unlike aluminum which doesnt ( in the same sense it oxidizes but you end up with a whitish powder on the surface)

think you may be able to get steel parts coloured.. like the process they do for gun parts (if you like blueish or black) but dont know how or who does it.

bolt pins

Delrin (acetal) pins are an American fad , along with titanium rams, piston etc. The hole having the lightest set up thing. saving a gramme on weight ain't gonna help when you have a full hopper, weight is negligable.

Anodising is a dying process for aluminium the colour is effectively placed inside the pours of the metal. Science boring school stuff. The stock pin, I think is stainless steel, this all adds to the weight required to open the valve, the ego requires a certain mass to operate properly too light a bolt/pin combo increased dwell, decreased efficiency

The only way to tell the differance between aluminium and stainless is mass. as both are non-magnetic. although magnetic stainless steel is available it is uncommon. But no you can't anodise the stock pin.
