devils advocate

i dunno pbshadow the fact that WDP's market share hasn't been appreciably damaged by the introduction of the emags and others of that ilk would argue that angels are the best.

and you said it yourself that people buy them cause they hear they are the best then after they get them they tell other people they are the best...so on so forth...if they were not the best then why would they try to get others to buy them? :D

Amazing that anyone even thinks that this is worth a grand.........
Mines same spec. ,didn`t pay a grand for it brand new,oh and the Ebay marker was £1250 originally !,mind you I`ve seen people asking for £900 + for year old Eclipse Cockers.Do people still pay over the odds for new gear ? `cos they seem more than willing to get robbed on 2nd hand:confused:

Quite true, tis a bit ad tedium. However, it does bring up some interesting points. Emags take very, very little market share away (nor create much new) from WDP for a handfull of significant reasons:

1. They were too late getting out. Ridiculously too late. AGD just dropped the ball on that one.
2. Still has the Mag operating pressure and smacks the ball on the rear with a steel face.
3. Not convincingly priced for something new that had to compete with established guns at or way below its pricetag. They should have started more humbly instead of walking in the front door and automatically expecting everyone to fork out the cash that already had someone else's name on it.
4. Poor availability. Keeping everyone waiting for years, then finally coming out with it, and still not having nearly enough to go around...thank God they're not doctors.
5. No marketing attempts to speak of. For heaven's sake even the BL Intimidator is in the hands of teams that used to shoot Angels. I swear the Pope has a more aggressive sex life than the Emag advertising/marketing/sponsorships.

Now in light of these issues is the Emag a losing proposition on the field? Oh certainly not. I'd not feel at all underequipped using one in most situations, though I'd not use it as a back player for the reasons of it not being the gentlest on paint and that it isn't the best in accuracy at long distances. But would I get one? No.

Yeah,Onion dude I`m an Extreme user(not interested in another debate over Mags/Cockers as its getting old !) but AGDs marketing sucks big time, their sales must rely on people like me who`ve used `em for years.I only found out about the Emag/Extreme `cos I know the boss of AGD Europe! ,not much of an advertising stratergy there.

No.

Agree, however, AGD have never advertised heavily... well at least not in uk. In the early days you didn't have to. The mag sold itself... needs a rethink now.
