the halo feeds so freaking fast its unbelievable, but on my speed it does not seem to like it to much i tend to chop more which is one or 2 times from a case with my revi i don't chop. My halo forces the balls into the chamber.

I am going to re-iterate what Paul as said, at the risk of sounding redundant...

The Halo's aren't faulty
The Angel's aren't faulty

However, the Halo may not like the Angel (possibly also vice versa). It would *seem* that some Halo's push a lot harder than others, regardless of whether they have the same software or not. Don't waste time trying to get it working - if it doesn't work and causes chops get a different Halo. It seems ridiculous but it is the easiest option.

I got through 3 Halo B's (all TE) before I found one that worked with my (many!) Angels. When you get one that works, it works perfectly, absolutely NO chops, still by far the fastest loaders out there...

The only thing that is worth checking Angel wise is the ram stroke. Make sure that the breech and bolt audibly click into place when you close the roto breech (as per manual).

Hi John,

First of all this isn't a very technical explanation as I aren't a certified tech or anything of the sort so have a good read of the manual first...

...If you remove the backplate and remove the breech retainer pin and spring etc you can get at the back of the ram. If memory serves you need circlip pliers or the Angel tool set to locate in the back of the ram. You then turn clockwise (I think!) to go in and anti clockwise to come out. Basically adjust this so that when you close the breech and bolt it clicks tightly in place. It should require just a tiny bit of force to close the breech. Then, as far as I can remember your ram stroke is set.

The manual explains how to do it in full detail...

Hope that helped a little?

I think it is hard to make any claims without scientific data. As I understand it the Halo B is capable of 24 shoots per second. My friend from Viewloader claims 21.5 shots a second. That doesn't seem a lot slower to me.

I haven't tried my Angel Speed yet with a Halo (got stolen at Campaign Cup before I had a chance to use it) but I did shoot very fast using the new Z board without problem. How fast? Don't know. I just know it sounded faster than anything I have heard and it turned heads at the shooting range. People started asking about the Speed and some tried shooting it.

As soon as I can get some hard data I will post it.

Wadidiz - no need, just look here at a Nexus cocker on full auto, one just cycling, one with an Evo II and one with a Halo...

Details are the ones that Jack Wood/Nick Truter posted on the WGP forums...

"Eclipseblade vids

Just as there are a couple of requests for vids, did a couple of snippets for you.

Both loader demos are using the eye and FA.
The Halo session topped out at 23.3 bps.
The Egg session saw 15.8 bps over a 10-shot string.
And the last is settings at around 36-37 cps.

Sorry they are all in FA, but that was because we had the thing all set up for testing something else!

Just for interest, we also tested a Warp, with interface, in this session, and couldn't improve on the 23.3 we managed with a Halo. The mean Halo speed was around the 21 bps.

Benfrain,

An excellent answer to the questions raised. But one very significant detail needs to be answered: Was the eVLution II fitted with a Z board?

The 15.8 shots per seconds sounds pretty consistent with the claim of 17 shots per second max advertised for the Y board.

If the Z board only shoots at 15.8 shots per second then I want my money back. I have a feeling that my egg shoots closer to the speed of the Halo in which case I'm happy with the one I have.

Great videos but we need to know which egg board. And I need to do similar tests on my Angel + Z board combination.

I am fairly certain that it is with a Y board as it looks like there is the velocity adjustment wheel on the Egg (absent from the Z board model).

I also believe that it is a TE version Halo (I believe earlier models were a little faster) but you'd have to go straight to the horses mouth to know for sure...

Let's face it, nobody is likely to be outshooting a Halo or an Evo II in an 'in game' situation any time soon ;)
