angel volumizers

They may have had some purpose on LED's, but anything after that no purpose whatsoever. The gauge is definately one useful replacement, as are the Polaris tool kits...heck I might get one of those for mine! The LPR gauge will work with LED's, right? If so I'm getting one of those tomorrow!

Volumizers

I thought it was only the second (one on the LPR) volumizer that achieved nothing.

I seem to remeber that being what the guy from WDP complained about in the article.

Nope, neither of them do anything - left or right - and that's in LEDs, LCDs or IR3s. Ask John Rice - the Angel designer - and then retire 10 paces until the fuse burns through! I'm only kidding, but they really are a cosmetic, nothing more.

They came about because somebody saw one of the early Angel prototypes with a short cylinder under the barrel instead of the usual right-hand end cap. The cylinder was actually part of an externally adjustable LPR that didn't go into production. Observers didn't know this and just came up with their own assumptions as to what the gadget was and the volumizer was born.

1 sides the battery the other side is the LPR, if you're gonna buy 1 then I'd put it on the LPR side, then at least you can kid yourself that it does something...

One question about volumizers that I'm not sure has ever been asked: just why do they make Angels look better? OK, some people don't like them and some designs are utter trash, but on the whole most people like them. Why?

Coz they make them

look more aerodynamic; taking the flat front and making it pointy.

I am amazed that WDP make the things if they achieve nothing. Still if they can get suckers to buy them...
