Whats the likly cause of the reg spiking, i'm always amazed at how changing o-ring can fix a marker but what would it do specificaly, help regulate the air flow more consitently?
Coz i know what i'm talking about, here's a bit of info.
A regulator is simply a valve arranged with a spring so that when the pressure on the output side of the reg drops below a certain point, the valve opens, increasing the pressure.
Most regs have a flat seal which is in contact with the piston when the valve needs to be closed, and not in contact when the valve needs to be open.
If the flat seal has dirt on it, or is just worn away, the valve will not shut off the supply of air properly, which is why the reg will spike above the pressure it is supposed to be set to.
If any other seal on or around the piston is damaged, air is allowed to leak past the piston causing a similar problem.
