Funny thing about custom angel bolts.

Different bolts, I often see on the internet forums, I added the *insert bolt name here* bolt and my velocity went up 25 fps, this might be true but has nothing to do with the porting on the bolt. What it is to do with is the way that the majority of custom bolts are made, they are made cheaply, they all tend to use a lump of steal at the back of the bolt to hold the bolt pin in place and to seal off the back end of the bolt. What this actually does is increase the weight of the bolt, so what you now have is a heavier mass (weight of hammer and bolt combined) striking the valve, this results in the valve being held open for a little bit longer so the velocity will rise. What they will also result in is damage to the ram as the increase in weight will cause damage to the lip on the ram that is used to hold the bolt in place.

Now this is taken from WDPs website and is a description of their own aftermarket bolts!
The Custom Bolt from WDP is heavier than the standard design, offering higher impact properties on the valve, and thus allowing the user to reduce the guns operating pressure, decreasing the chance of ball breakage and offering a quieter sound signature.
Make of that what you will....
