Angel problem

My brother just bought a used (7-mo. old) LCD Angel. We were playing around with the settings on it, and it worked fine for a while. Then, we turned it off and on again, and now it won't let us in. It comes up with this "6-digit PIN" thing. It looks like the PIN prompt, and it comes up at the same time (when you turn the gun on), but it's 6 digits long. The manual doesn't seem to mention this, and we can't get past it. I tried resetting to factory defaults, and that didn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

It doesn't let you pull your trigger either does it? (or rather pulling the trigger doesn't have any affect)

I had something similar, caused by having a very short trigger pull and having the circuit board shift in the grip. Causing the switch to be continually pressed. So just change the trigger a bit so its not pressing down on the microswitch.

Well, it's not getting to any place where we can test the trigger. However, the trigger pull is pretty long. It's nowhere near the "mouse-click" that my friend's Angel has.

PIN number

What it is asking for is the personal PIN number of the Angel (different than the serial number). Owners have the option of installing a personal PIN number in their Angel. This helps twart people from stealing Angels. It will ask for the PIN number everytime you start it up. WDP cannot reset this number for you and only the original owner knows the PIN.

What you need to do: call the previous owner and ask him for the PIN number. Once you entered the correct PIN number, you can change it.

Also, it would be a good idea to see if the previous owner had registeredhis Angel with WDP. If so, he should contact WDP and inform them of the change. Otherwise, WDP will continue to assume that the previous owner is still the rightful owner of the gun.

Just a thought: if the original owner cannot produce a PIN number for you nor the original manual then it "might" be stolen.

good luck,
