Yes it will, but the A4 is fairly low anyway.

Since you're saying it has to use a 9v I assume this has something to do with opening up the second tube which normally would hold the battery?

Can you do this to a G7 ? I think it is completely stock. If it needs other mods first, what does it cost to do the lot?

it's not really worth it, as the g7 is pretty low already.
