Is your ram adjusted like the manual says?Originally posted by AndyDane
Tried it with an Eggy 2 and a Halo TSA. Also turned the maximum ROF down to 13 just to make sure it wasnt that the hopper couldnt keep up.
I have a feeling it was just the weather as it was running fine a month ago and I havent fiddled with anything since then. But thought I'd and find out if the higher pressure input would mean that I'd have to make any changes or not.
Yeah, all set up properly, I'm 99% sure it's not the gun as it's only had one case of paint through it since LiPS serviced it about 7 weeks ago. Detent seems fine too, as soon as we have one evening that's not bloody freezing I'm going to try it again and with any luck it'll be fineOriginally posted by John C

(it should snap in and out with a click, not just fall in to place)
If your ram is set wrongly the bolt gets a run up before it hits the ball, increasing the chance of breaking paint.
Is your ball detent up to its job??
Remove it and give it a good clean, if your gun is double feeding then that will also cause chops.
And yes, I know the spitfire is very very good, but this isn't my main gun, I've got an A4 Grello (which will probably be spitfired next year now that I've had a chance to have a look at the milling for the eyes ) One of my mates wants to buy the IR3 and I dont want to sell him it until I'm 100% sure it's nothing to do with the gun that's making it chopIf possible spitfire it up. I have one and they are the buisness!
