After lowering the pressure on your angel air, it's worthwile getting a blow off valve from smart parts to protect your solenoid, just in case the reg leaks forward. Impy's have one of these on the existing reg, it's a brass fitting 1/2 inch long with a little cap that allows the overpressure to vent off, saving your soleniod from blowing.

Hmmm... where is he going to stick the PRV (Pressure Release Valve) if he is running an AIR? Methinks he will need a gas through grip with an allen key lug airway in, so he can install a guage or PRV.

As far as i can remember from my AIR, there is no place to stick a PRV on the reg itself?

Also, it doesn't look as pretty, but you can mount the horizontal maxxy you already have vertically using the vertical reg mount kit from Planet Eclipse. It requires you to take the dove tail drop forward off and just mount the manifold vertically. Then you connect one side of your maxxy to the AIR and the other side to the vertical reg mount with microline hose. (install a microline hose collet/connector into the silver lug that is in the bottom of your Manifold.

*Note: All the microline and connectors for connecting the maxxy to the vertical adaptor is included in the kit.

You could replace the elbow on the output of the angel air, with a tee fitting that has a male inlet to two female outputs. Use the one output for the PRV (thanks for the definition), and the other for the gas.

You could do, but if this player does alot of diving, or his marker goes through some serious action, or even rests in dirt that little fitting might be a bit dodgy if it hit off something i.e the ground and clogged the PRV outlet port.

it is a vunerable place, but would be the only useable area if using the air as a single reg setup. I have an old pvi shocker, and the prv sticks out the bottom of the maxflo, and has picked up some dirt and crap in the past, but has never played up. Stupid place to put it though.

Yeah it is silly really, the new co2 max flo's are better with the PRV on the top of the manifold. I have to clean the bottom of my max flo often so i can imagine how much crap yours might of picked up.

Time to get information methinks, on how to solve the PRV placement. The only other way would be a vertical gas through grip with an air port in that you can add a guage/prv etc.

On my pvi's maxflo, there is a port on the side, but i've put a small guage there allready. Not enough holes to do the job, not that i use it anymore.

This is how you pick up info, a lot to take in though. If you allready have an angel air, stick with it, they look great.

Yes, it has, sorry, it's all got a little OTT and I'm also feeling blinded with science/techy talk...

In answer to your original question...

Yes, you can run an Angel AIR on your impy but for best (and safest) results you will need an Impy with a reg fore grip (rather than the gas through grip). Which one does your Impy have?

You could still run it with Angel AIR without the reg foregrip but it would be best to change the Angel AIR to low pressure as per earlier post to try and safeguard too much pressure entering your gun and killing it.

Safest bet would be to get a max flo as they are designed to work with Impy's but if you do decide to go for the Angel AIR there are plenty of people on the boards you can ask for advice each step of the way.
