Yeah, it's quite blatent that the only reason I want a refund if because of scratches... Not because it needs new eyes and a new noid or anything...
Here is how this is gonna go because I have been in touch with both parties here and I'm pretty pis$ed off that so called adults can't conduct themselves responsibly .... Dan, I want you to send me some pics of the scratches you suggest are over and above what you would normally come to expect from a used marker of such an age.
I will then decide whether or not the trade was good .... if both parities agree then great, you'll have to abide my decision and respect it.
If you don't agree, then I am still gonna make my decision and you'll both abide by that too ... because whichever decision I make, I will make sure that whatever party has to give way, or if some compromise has to be effected, I will ensure both parties abide.

ive had another go at fixing the a1 i started by trying a hyper2 instead of the cp reg the ramer still does the reving thing lol
so i thought id try striping down the noid to which HURRAY!!!!!!!!
the marker works!!!!
but
still the eyes are what can only be called F*KED !!!

the sender eye is fine
the receiver eye is NONE existent !!
ive had to replace the grip frame screws

marker will now fire but as there is no eyes in can ONLY be fired semi and will have to be set to a very low bps to avoid breaking paint
the jewel for the led in the grip frame is missing

just to add my opinion on the sale and marker and what has happened
to dan..
when the guy sent it out he maybe aired it up and it was ok MAYBE !!
which in his defence has happened to me i tested my dm5 on saturday nite n all fine
and on sunday morning i had to sit there and strip my noid down b4 i could play as there was sh*t in it forcing it open
to the guy that sold dan the marker..
im not dannys friend i live MILES away from him . he IS paying me to fix the marker from you as ive fixed loads of markers for people as far as i know im a trusted guy on here
the marker may have worked when u got it out of the box to test it BUT it DOES have problems !! FACT !! which you may or may not have been aware of but that isn't dans fault either
i am not part and never have been part of a game to con people out of money and NEVER will be FACT !!!
from what ive found and seen with the marker as a whole it NEEDS
a new set of eyes 100%
the grip screws are and easy fix and have been sorted
the jewel is only cosmetic
nothing to hold the asa onto the marker othen then the rail
if YOU get a new set of eyes the marker will work how it was supposed to do as per your sale

which may be true to it firing as u wouldn't have needed the eyes to get it to test it would fire
i feel if you sort that out dan in all incentive purpose's has a working marker to the standard of the description of your sale ..............

im not picking a side im just working on what was sold and how i got the marker

Ross, it seems to me that since Dan has gone on record in stating the only reason he wants his money back is because of the scratches [post above] then all this other commentary and work is somewhat academic.
If Dan is good to his word, then the assessment should be focused entirely upon the scratch damage and whether or not this was to be 'reasonably expected' from a marker of this age.
I am not qualified to effect repairs on any marker but I do possess sufficient commonsense to judge whether or not scratch damage is 'above and beyond' and this is why I offered to make the call .... I suggest this is the basis you make your call; you have already conceded some of the things wrong with this marker may well have been not known by the sender; I realise this doesn't make Dan responsible but it does place the whole trade in a grey area ... but ... Dan has already handed you an easy call to make with regard to the scratch damage ... make that call Ross and we can all move on mate.

No, I couldn't care less about the physical condition of the marker. As long as it shoots paint I really don't mind.

ok well here goes ...
what ever i say I'm still getting payed for the work I've done to the marker so ....
in regards to a refund i would say no as danny did buy the marker b4 at least asking for some close up or anything all he had to go on was the ONE pic that andy had posted up even though its got more scratched then a run dmc lp lol it don't stop the marker from working as the parts that needed replacing was only little things they don't come into it as now there sorted dan CAN walk onto the feild and play with the marker so i say no to the refund BUT and its only down to that danny payed for a fully working marker should andy ether pay for the eyes from wdp OR at least help dan out to get them as he has been on contact with me about them but that will be upto them to sort out like adults and come to some sort of agreement .....
in the end I'm happy to send dan back the marker for him to use untill he sort pit wots happening with the eyes as he can use the marker ...
