I remember quite a few pro-teams used to play in plain black combats.

Short Timers & Barts Stud Squad spring to mind... possibly Bad Company too, although on second thought they may have worn tiger stripe?

My old Split P's team had custom camo made by renegade. It was based on a weird asian woodland pattern, using our own colour combination as the original was too green. Worked really well and lasted well - most of us still have a set hidden in the loft

We used to have portugese vertical lizzard camo, which was unique enough and effective, until we came up against the redskins who had the same.................that was an interesting game


i know its a bit off topic but when a memory comes back at my age then i gotta put it into words before the fade out kicks in again

i've got a full set of timber ghost...trousers,jacket,bacpack with harness & hood type thingy...ahh brings back memorys

Before they headed to the US for the SP gig I played on the same team (Harlequins) as Ivan and Tricky who ran Renegade.

Foxwood was a Renegade own design pattern, which Shades of Grey and the Harlequins were sponsored with from about 1994. Great pattern - I've still got a mint condition top in that pattern.

Have still got a soft spot for the 'lightning-cam' which storm used to wear too.

Bad company played in Tiger Stripe - I drink with one of them - but their 5 man teams such as Bad News and Bad Day - and the charity Dragon Company team used to play in plain black, with the team name writing on.

So he tells me.
