Playing about with my Alias at the PA left me with the impression its simply a great marker.
But for a full on review lets start with the bad so we end on a high huh?
1: Milling: Dunno if it just cause they're rushing them out to meet demand, but some of the cuts on my alias are fairly rought. The most noticable one is some clear miss milling on the eye covers. Nothing inside the Alias seems rough, and the bolt and ram fit perfectly, so I belive the cuts are just cosmetic. These defects aren't anything serious and only noticable with a hands on inspection.
2: Anno: The anno looks good but its not exactly durable, already theres a fair amount of ware around the bolt after 'bout 3,000 (maybe 4,000) cycles. Had this problem with the Classic timmy, the finish isn't up to Planets quality (least from the cockers I've seen em do).
3. Grips: they make the LCD screen hard to see.
Pritty much thats its for the bad, so onto the good.
3: Fast: Faster for me than anything I've ever shot. Not just one off speed, but ease of string speeds. I can shoot the Alias comfortably faster than anything else I've ever shot (for me the second fastest would be a Lasoya Timmy, then an LCD Trix). I think a large part of it might be the CP Swoop trigger which is great, but not properlly set up. Overall I think the Alias really really does rip. Had to ram the Debounce up a bit off the stock setting, but pritty much eliminated bounce with paint going through it, though didn't test to see if its fully gone.
4: Light: Not just that but well balanced, After the rate of fire, this was commented on the most.
5: Consitant: +-4 fps over the chronograph. That'll do me
6: FAST:
7: Good Efficency: bout 1400/1600 shots outta a 1.1 4.5 K.
Cheers
