Whoah, so what we're sayin here is we have to adjust the ball detents to fully power this thing with halo?!? Man for that price I want a midget in the box holding my new toy and ready to make all the adjustments I require!!:D

So it's not the greatest marker to grace the planet then?
Or is it?

Is there anywhere I can see one of those promo vids?? Seen the site but wanna see this thing rippin!

To use a Halo you have to replace the softer and more flexible detente with a stiffer detente to keep balls from double feeding. The stiffer detentes seem to be a little less durable in the long run, the softer stock ones last a longer time (maybe because they are softer and more flexible).

Although Timmies aren't my very favorite, this is such a small thing, so simple to do, that calling this a weakness is sort of blowing things out of proportion. It is slightly more hassle than attaching air and hopper.

And anyway, have you ever seen how much a midget will eat?

Soft or stiff? Yikes! I did a test on a Shocktech Timmy recently and the detents were very flexible and I had no problems at all. Currently have a new reprogrammed Alias with what seem like the same detents and had it out all day yesterday with Halo on top and no problems at all. No ball breaks, barrel breaks or double feeds except when it was almost out of air. When I was squeezing the last half a hopper of paint through it and tank pressure was below 500 I had a couple of double feeds.

So, is this supposed to be a recurring "problem"?

the detents are the same baca.

most problems with halo's on timmys are caused by the bolt placement, not the detents, the alias is meant to fix that by having a harder bumper leading to more consistant bolt position rather than the worn bumpers on the old style. However I still think it's about 1 or 2 mm too far back for reliable Halo operation :)

But yeah, I ran about 5 cases through mine without a hitch, unless you count 1 break with 1yr old JT paint!
