I got the bolt in the middle of a tournament when my bolt was sticking forward. I was in a hurry, and it seemed like a quick solution.

It didn't stick, and it doesn't need lube. As Beaker said, it fits snugly so o-rings aren't needed. It cleans up nicely, too.

The down side is that you will lose some velocity. I dropped from 295ish to 260ish after dropping the bolt in. I don't have a gauge on my inline reg, so I can't say what the pressure difference was to get it back up to speed. I am told that the geometry of the air port is the cause of this. Visually, it is obviously not as angled as the Function bolt that I had in before.

The cost is around $50 (don't know the conversion or what duties you'd pay). A little expensive, in my opinion, but it works well. Bolts don't usually make a lot of performance difference, unless they have a (slight) impact on efficiency. This bolt seems to have a slight negative impact on efficiency, so I would mainly recommend it if you are having some other problem, like I was.

The pistons I can recommend highly, however. They actually do give an improvement on consistency, which is worth the $20 or so, in my book.

You don't need to do anything to most '04 Timmies. If you have trouble with the eyes, shove some wadded up paper towel behind them.

If you are talking about an '03 Timmy, it probably already has an adjustable ram cap. That is about the only thing I would recommend for any '03 Timmy. Don't replace stuff unless there is a problem or someone gives you something to test. Spend money on paint. If you must fiddle with your gun, get a cocker, it should be worth college credit to own one.

The other thing I have tried with success is smoothing off the spring in the Torpedo reg.

The spring on my alias's torp is noticeably rougher on the flattened bit at each end than the old ones I have as spares.

Just take some fine grit sand paper, put it on a sheet of wood/glass/acrylic and use water or light spray of WD40. The use finer paper until the flattened bit is smooth.

Mine tightened up by about 3fps.

haven't tried the LPR yet.

Its doesn't gain FPS, it tightens up the consistancy.

So if I was shooting between say 290 and 298 with the average at 294, then after i did the mod it would be between say 293 and 298 with the average at 295/296.

So all it does is allow the gun to run more consistantly and consistancy is the key to accuracy.
