Right going to play abroad for the first time next weekend. Flying to Greece.

what do i have to do with my kit?

ive been told some stuff like i need the reg taken off the bottle-so they can see in it??
how do you get the reg off?? (wdp LP preset, already empty)

are tools such as screwdrivers and penknives ok in suitcase? obviously not in hand luggage! :p

marker doesn't have to be taken apart or anything stupid does it just barrels and air taken off?

and they take Euros in Greece don't they?

Thanks loads

Stuff like the penknife and tools in check in will be fine. Definitely take the reg off, it should only be torqued on and not loctited but you might need a strap-wrench to get it going.

Some related advice...be prepared to answer a few questions to the nice man at the x-ray if you happen to have the entire team's supply of AAs and 9 volts in your backpack. :D

yup the reg definatly has to come off the bottle so
a: they can look in it if they want to
b: it doesnt cause any problems with the change in air pressure and eather damage the bottle or explode or something.

pack your gear as normal and make sure to drop a couple of magazines in there so they know its a marker not a real gun

bunga copy of PGI at the very top of teh bag with your marker and kit in etc.

Defo take the reg off, if you dont, there is no way it will get through.
airline is Olympia I think...dunno im not booking it
she said she was going to ask them about it tomorrow

just a bit wary of flying with Kit as the old Red Heat when going to Germany had been told was ok to take all kit but at customs were turned away and so two guys had to drive all the way to Germany with the teams markers. just wanna make sure i get it right :D

I dont have a strap wrench all I have that is remotely suitable is mole-grips and they aint gonna work

Ill ask at college maybe theyve got one if not i have a vice and some rubber off a window cleaner this'd work right?

thanks for everything so far

we were just talking about this today at training!

do you not have to tell them that you have sporting goods and stuff and declare that you have a gat in you bag?
one of the boys said that he didnt declare it and he was called back to the check in and his back was there and he was told to open it with armed police present!

must have been funny would have loved to be there!

:D
thats my 2 cents!

thank you all for your time and patience for reading this post!

Yeah exactly what im trying to avoid ;)

yer think you do have to declare them, which we will do.

Also: arent x-ray machines the most sucky things ever?
I went on a tour round the houses of parliament so us and our bags were x-rayed i realized later I had a razor blade and a pair of scissors in my bag an they didnt say anything. probably didnt notice what a waste of space i could of been a mad psycho and i would still have got in
