PM me if you want it done.
The big problem is that it's a two part reg and the bit that goes into the bottle got a bit chewed the last time I had it off to send it off for testing. Also there is a slight leak from this bit if the reg is removed :(

The difference between the root of the M18 x 1.5 thread and the crest of the 5/8 unf is 0.5mm. So that's 0.25mm wall thickness, which is too small for safety. You could make up an end on end adaptor, but that would extend the system by about 30mm minimum.
You could machine down a new reg and thread it smaller, so the adaptor has a better wall thickness. But this may effect the reg's strength.

I'm thinking I might have a different size thread than M18 then as a standard reg drops srtight into the bottle.

The plan for an adapter would be to extaned it out for a total lengh of 5 inch (including thread)

If the M18 is a smaller thread then that leaves a mystray to the size of this one.

It should say the thread size on the bottle.

A new reg will drop in the bottle, as the internal diameter of the old bottle thread is around 16.5mm. And the outside diameter of the new reg is about 15.8mm.
