Do all air tanks use the same bottle threading? Whether preset, adjustable etc?

I was 99% sure they did but thought I had better be 100%

Anyone know for sure?

wasn't it AIR's that used different threads? or at least different length spindle, or something.

And the VERY old Maxflows had reverse threading didn't they so you couldn't use them on CO2.

My memory fails...

The early air systems had a larger thread (govn, air ect) M18 x 1.5 i believe.
5/8" unf is the current bottle thread.

But for clarification, all the recent ones e.g. Dye throttle, Mac Dev Conquest, Crossfire, PMI etc all use the 5/8" unf thread?

Yes, you're only looking at pre 2000 air systems, maybe 1998 ish, and they were only 3000psi.
All the current regs and bottles from the angel air era onwards are 5/8 unf.

Why do you ask.........i'm curious.

Tom, there is a bloke in the states that wants to buy my mac dev reg but wants to swap the bottle out from his Dye onto it.

Just needed to check it would work before telling him it would be fine.

Any joy with that reg yet BTW??

Hi All

Anyone know if you can still get regs that fit this bigger size thread.

Got a bottle a while ago and want to swap the reg as it's a bit old now and in need of a service etc.

Cheers

You'll be lucky to get a reg for that bottle. But getting the reg serviced could be the easiest option.
PM me if you want it done.
