O thankss =).

That makes sense as i do realize that my marker runs out of air a lot quicker than others when i go down the site on a weekend.

So if i'm getting less shots out of my tank because of the size of it. What does the 3000psi and the 4500psi count for?

ooo wait. Are you saying that the 3000psi and 4500psi counts for how consistent the fluctuations of velocity are.

So the 3000 tanks seem to not be consistent in velocity, where 4500 keep a constant velocity.

Or do i have the wrong end of the stick lol

thats the quality of the regulator not the pressure inside the tank. all the pressure inside the tank does is give you more shots.

Yes! 3,000 or 4,500 psi are the pressures the tanks can be safely filled to, nothing to do with the output. Not all sites will have the ability to fill to 4.500,most should be able to fill to 3,000. The output is controlled by the regulator, the bit on the end of the tank. Think of it a bit like a water tank and a tap, even if you have a bigger water tank in the loft you can control the flow into the sink with the tap. A bigger and or higher pressure tank won't effect the way your gun works, it will just determine the number of shots you can get between each fill.

the reg on your bottle will be set to a determined pressure (800psi) but a cheap reg will deliver 750-850 psi as an example and this output pressure powers your gun.

if you set the velocity on your gun to 280 feet per second while the bottle reg happens to be delivering 780 psi means if the reg pressure spikes to 840 psi your guns velocity will increase. you need to take this into account when setting up your gun and allow for the pressure increase by turning the velocity down a touch, until you are used to how your gun performs with that bottle you will need to check your velocity often to ensure you are still on or below the site limit.

The intermediate inline (HP) reg on the PMR will damp out these spikes

The quality of the inline and its recharge ability effects velocity
