Air System Problem

I can't unscrew my air bottle from my reg
I screwed it on as tight as i could and then left it overnight and now i can't unscrew it at all but it may still not be screwed on enough as the o-ring may be too big
Any Ideas on how to get it off?

I take it there is NO AIR in the bottle at all, grip the reg in a vice and get a good strap wrench on the bottle.

When you put it back on don't do it up so tight. When the system is under pressure, the bottle is held on very tightly. The o-ring is an 015 bottle o-ring.

Why do you say the o-ring may be too big? Is there a leak? If not, don't worry. These o-rings are usually a little loose, but they seal just fine.

The bottle has never been filled before, can i fill the bottle to see if it is on correctly or should i leave it if it's possibly screwed on properly?
Because the air system is new and it's never been filled before so i'm not too sure what'll happen

The reg doesn't seem to be sitting straight from that picture fella.

You didn't use loctite or anything on it did you...

I'm afraid to say from first glance looking at the picture and the fact it won't unscrew even though it isn't fully screwed in that you have cross threaded it and possibly damaged the reg, bottle or both...

Is that how it came to you, or have you screwed it on and it only went that far.?

the reg and bottle came seperately and it only screwed that far
if it has been cross threaded and i can unscrew it will both of the threads be unusable?

Possibly. It really depends hwo you have done it. Haven't bottles and regs got to be factory fitted now, I thought suppliers werent allowed to supply them individually anymore???
