Air reg question

I've been out of paintball for a couple of years now and i'm thinking of coming back in to play as I miss it! I've got an old Smartparts Vision Impulse with a 3000PSI vertical mounted max flo. The only thing I'm currently missing to play is a bottle. I don't really want to use 3000PSI, rather be on 4500 but i'm not really sure what the best way to go about doing this would be. Is it possible to get a 4500PSI bottle with an inline reg that'll take the psi down to something manageable (say 800psi) and then feed it into the vertical max flo or is there a better way to go about this? I don't want to spend heaps of money on loads of new parts, I was hoping to find a cheap solution to get myself back into the game again.
Cheers for any help :)

Get a regular fibre wrap bottle mate you will find loads in the for sale section, nearly all have a 4500 psi rated reg. most these days have a high pressure output reg (around 800 psi) or you can get ones with a low pressure output reg (bout 450 psi) good makes to look for are crossfire custom products, pure energy draxxus or dye throttle.

Hiya mate welcome back

Your vert max flo despite not being the most consistant inline reg will happilly take to your pressure down to the impulse cycling pressure of 160 psi

all you simply need is a 4.5kpsi system and a means to mount it to the impy

Are you sure the max flo will support 4.5K psi? I was under the impression it would only take pressure from 3k downwards? I'm probably wrong because like I said I've been out of this for quite a while but I don't wanna end up with a broken gun!
Just found this - http://www.zdspb.com/tech/mguide/regs/main_impvertmaxflo.html This is the version of the system I've got if that helps at all!
Cheers :)

Oh no you need a reg that takes the bulk pressure down to around 800psi or lower

pretty much all air tanks have a regulator of some description

The inline Maxflo can take up to 3000psi but its not recommended, you would put serious stress on the macroline and fittings if they can take pressure that high,

Ahhh, I understand now, I'll go look on the for sale section and hopefully grab something off there soonish :)
Would it be better to get a bottle with a low pressure reg or high pressure reg, I know the Impy uses low pressure but I don't know if it's a good idea to give the max flo something to do! :)

make sure the bottle you get has a reg that will provide a good flow rate as its only low pressure, best makes are like i sed crossfire, custom products etc
