Air Compressors...!?

Well, I thought I would offer the info, seeing as you asked.
I thought you may have wanted it for a site or something.
If you think about it, if compressors for what we want were cheap we would all have one!!
Even compressors (being the part that actually compresses, a pump if you will) for paint spraying, dont go up to that kind of preassure.
Your choices are limited to the purpose of intended use.
Put it this way. I know a guy who runs a Scuba school. He offered me (for my boss at the site) his compressor and 2 65 litre "banks" (recivers for de-canting smaller bottles from) and associated plumbing and guages, for £4000. This was an old but good system, that could fill to 232 bar all day long and more than 300 if neccessary. However, it's an elactric one, needing a 3 phase power supply, which would cost about £1000 to have installed by Seeboard.
There you have it. The only affordable way would be to use a dive tank, or (though not practical) buy a stirrup pump used to fill the recievers on pre-charged air rifles, these go up to about 200ish bar and will leave you completely knackered. they cost about £140.
Cheers
