Not all markers can run off CO2, and it's really not reccomended that you try. It can seriously kill pretty much any electronic gun.

The general rule is that you go with air, it's much more consistant, it's not affected by temperature and it can be used universally on all guns. CO2 is generally reserved for mechanical markers.

Most sites will provide HPA, but there still are a few which still only use CO2. I'd ask the site which one they provide before you turn up if you're taking your own gun.

all markers will run off of all types of gas, the difference between co2 and air is that co2 turns to liquid at a lower pressure compared to air/n2.
as the gas is compressed it actually gets warmer (due to friction and higher energy that the molecules come under), and so, as it expands and comes through the marker it cools down. its this temperature change that does the damage to the o-rings and electronics in the marker because the temperature drops below zero as the co2 expands more rapidly (due to its liquid state) and can actually freeze the marker down, disabling all the electronics.

if you have an expansion chamber or very little co2 in a bottle then you can use co2 for a few shots to test markers, but it's not recomended.

CO2 is damaging to most high end markers, plus air is supplied by most sites cos its safer, more efficient and cheaper i think :/ anyway, stick with air, its good times :)

I wonder why Delta Force don't use CO2. Surely with all the profit they make they could afford to upgrade the bottles?

i dont know, but im assuming C02 is cheaper for them to fill (i dont know though)
and as their running a buisness, if it aint broke, why fix it?

remember, the cater for punters that have no clue to the differences.

could also be that, C02 makes the shots less consistant, so punters buy more paint.
dont quote me on that though. lol
