Cos a new bottle is brand new -

Looks better
Safer
Has a 5 year test rather than a 2/3 year retest
Guaranteed not to fail test and waste £40

But however if I can get a test for less than 40 it might be worthwhile!

big big titties
or...like this:

looks the same(if your bottle has a defacing mark on it, ie a gauge or cut, then its gonna fail.
if the bottle passes the test, it is safe, if you think its unsafe through the 5 years, retest it!
what sort of bottle do you have? most bottles when retested are now 5 year tested. id much rather risk £40, than waste £100. hy not go to an event where hpac are at, then its like £27

Theres a few minor scratches on the surface, but nothing that looks like real damage to the bottle, I'm assuming thats ok?
I've got a luxfer half fibre wrap bottle.
Whats this about 5yr retest? I thought you got a 5yr retest date from a new bottle and then it's 2/3 years after that?
I can't take it to a tourney 'cos I'll need it for the next one.
