i'd normally use a hair dryer if i had to use a heat source. but i've never struggled in the past

If you are trying to take the reg off the bottle then brute force could be very damaging.

If you try to force the bottle off when the locktite is still strong, you may end up welding the bottle on to the threads of the reg.

If that happens your reg is definately going in the bin and probably your bottle too.

My advice is to send your bottle to Tom Allen and get the reg removed by a proffessional, thats what I would do.

have decided to leave the bottle and reg alone. seems like the little clean i gave it did the job.

but do i loctite the fill nipple, gauge and burst disk back in???
