This is ridiculous! This is a paintball forum, not a popularity contest!
I feel like deleting this thread, not because of what Sytrax posted, but because it saddens me to realise that we have driven a 15 year old to the point where he's seriously considering going away from what could possibly be the best thing for him as a paintballer.
Sure, his spelling is abominable, but the same goes for a lot of people on these boards. Some of his postings have been utter rubbish, but nobody's bending your arm to read them! Also, he often answers the questions of other newbies, and I even spotted some sound advice once or twice! The kid is even willing to stand up and be recognised when one of his mistakes is pointed out!
Don't forget fellas, kids like him are the future of our sport, sooner or later we are going to be crusty oldtimers going on endless rants about how things were better when you could only fire a mere 13 balls a second, and these are the kids caning our wheelchaired asses!
If we scare off every newbie that doesn't know jack sh*t (yet), then our sport will die eventually.

Yes it was a shame to see that last thread go if only to see the height or maybe the depth to which some of us will go to, to try and keep these boards clear of crap etc, we are all guilty of posting **** from time to time but this young guy has just pissed a lot of people off, me included and as I said in the post which is now gone I had been polite until then. Why the moderators decided to delete the thread is a little difficult to understand...was it because so many people were saying the same thing? this is a public forum and 'cos we flamed him it had to go?

If you (STYRAXZ) stop with the crap answers that is YOU THINK before you post then stay if you can't control yourself then go, the choice is yours ...you have realised now how a large majority feel now (if you were ever in any doubt)

Question for the moderators, you must have seen this problem brewing so why was nothing done before (ie email to the person) if it was done well you can see it didn't work.

Will we need to sit an English Language Exam just to make sure our spelling is correct?? C'mon Guys, check the meaning of the word "FORUM'......

'a public meeting place for open discussion', 'a medium where views may be aired and debated'.

So what if 'Sytraxz' posts mostly rubbish and his spelling is crap!
Maybe his views and some of the things he's done are a bit screwed....
He is not the first and you can bet he will deff not be the last..

We all have that thing thats called 'Freedom of Choice'! We can choose to either read and reply OR NOT but as Buddha has said we should not be making this Kid feel he needs our permission to write what he wishes to.

To those who respond to SY-- it seems to me that given the nature of this forum everyone who responds to some level of idiocy with some other measure of idiocy pretty much gets what they deserve.
As a young fellow SY just requires some adult instruction. Under the circumstances the way to do that is not by trying to explain things to him or cursing him out, it's by ignoring him. He is looking for "conversations" (hence the rapid fire postings) and any reply satisfies in some measure. IF, however, nobody responded in ANY way to the truly inane stuff he would soon do one of two things; quit posting (and gladden the hearts of all the nay voters) or try to figure out how to get people to respond and as a consequence spend some quality time exercising his noodle and eventually (one hopes) start contributing something more thoughtful and be rewarded for it by having people respond.
