Hi,

Dusty thanks for moving it, sorry I'm new to the whole forum thing.

Worringly the site advertising this age limit is a national concern. I don't wish to name names as I could get into a lot of hot water over this.

My initial interest was raised when I read their website, and I quote "minimum age 11 but 10 year olds allowed"

Now I don't do or understand text talk (took me a while to find this forum!) so maybe the previous sentance makes sense to some people but to me it is a total nonsense, I have to agree with most of the comments about trying to groom new players to early and have the total opposite result and putting the next generation of players off the sport for life.

My only other question is to chuckwood, do all aussie 14 year old boys have ready access to pet marsupials? I have to say I find that slightly concerning :D

Planet Piper away from you freaks!
Just spoke to a site owner and he tells me that legally there is no minimum age, some insurance companies follow the UKPSF guidelines of minimum age of 12.

I am sure if a site owner shopped around for insurance they would get covered. I really don't think a company would advertise for 10 years or younger and not be covered insurance wise as they would probably end up doing some time at her majesty’s pleasure :D

What about the size of the player? Ive played before and seen some tiny kids who cant hold the gun let alone aim it. they were just cradeling it in their airs and trying to pull the trigger.
Also doesnt help the fact that the boiler suits where wayyyyy to big for them.

Also these players can be a bit of liability as they dont always have the saftey on and are aiming it all over the place the way they holding the guns.

12 should be the youngest possible, but even then I dont think they will enjoy it
I disagree

My mates 12 y/o son played as a newbie last season and loved it. This was woodsball play and not sup-air, so less chance of him getting lit up at close range. We also made the other players/marshalls aware that he was playing, so they would make allowances for 1 on 1 situations.

He made us old duffers look lame - Wish I still had the energy of a teenager

I'll have to make do with Red Bull & Sanatogen

i think the UKPSF is right on the money with 12, i think i must have gone my first time at 12. to be honest the first shot (back then) stung like a bitch i got it right on the flabby part i complained a little but it was the right age where it wasn't going to stop me from playing.
