Just curious to know why there seems to be a difference in oppinion about the minimum age of players allowed on sites? Most seem to be 12 years and over.

Is there a legal minimum age for players or is it simply down to the site owners discretion?

Just seen a site advertising junior parties for 10 year olds? These kids aren't even in secondry school at that age!!!

Although we take the rough and tumble of the game and enjoy it, I question if a ten year old girl would find it enjoyable, some how I doubt it. I am certainly not one of these people who wrap kids in cotton wool, quite the opposite but you wouldn't let a three year old play, so I just wondered what the legal / advisory age is.

I know of some place (can't remember the name) that has special guns that dont leave bruises/marks/hurt.

Or they could just be using those pull-back ones, a site near me (Adrenaline) uses them for over 8s.

Link to those pullback guns - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PREDATOR-REAL-PAINTBALL-2-GUNS-IN-PACK-NEW_W0QQitemZ170391362478QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Sporting_Goods_Paintballing?hash=item27ac1ddbae&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

I think they use .50cal's

my little cousin is 12 and loves it!
although i dont think he would have been so keen a year ago or so...

the risk you take with getting them in young, is if they dont like it, they may never go back, even when there older.

i personally think it should be around 14 because i see alot of young kids go and hate it and cry or if they have special permission off ov a parent or guridan

This is primarily based on the site insurance. A while ago the UK minimum was generaly 13, however it changed to 12 for members of a group with 13 year olds. e.g. for a 13th birthday outing there will be 12 year old friends.

Are you certain it was paintball from 10? Many sites now offer multiple facilities such as laser games, but somewhere may be offering a younger age if they get it through the insurance.
