if your playing a tourny as a team you should split the paint bill evenly between you all, it's simple.
yer i said that but the teams not having it well i wasnt at one bit cause were all loaded ith money but cheers anyway 
all teams should pool as sjt said, its a team game, without back player shooting lots front players would be out. and ive shot at least 1100 b4 in a game and it was worth it because we won it!!!! also as has been said...get more accurate..mid player shouldnt be shooting more than back players...

In Germany on the Draxxus field, which we played 4 times, (and won 4 times) we all kept our guns up constantly, firing obscene amounts of paint. I think i shot all 5 or my pots, and had half a hopper left, and im only a front player. The other front players were doing the same, and judging by the carpet of paint above my head at all stages in the game, so did the back players.
The more paint you shoot, the more chance you stand of winnning, assuming all the other skill areas are up to the level they should be,i.e accuracy etc...

If mid players shot the same as back players in the game, and shot it accurately, then you would stand a much better chance of winning the game. Paintball is becomming more about domination, and the team that can shoot the most paint, i.e keeping the other team behind their bunkers, would be the favourites to win it.

Next time the front guys suggest you should all pay your own paint bill, try going out for a game or two & only shooting a hopper or so. Then when they scream because you haven't given them any cover fire so they were shot out early smile sweetly & say you can't afford the paint to shoot any more in a game.
If they really get stubborn about this, I suggest you try to find another team. I know that sounds very blunt but paintball is a TEAM sport with all acting together for the good of the others. If your "team mates" don't want to act like a team, them maybe they should be playing rec ball not tournaments.

Sorry bout this thread guys. Robbo and Jamie dont like the idea of pooling paint simply because their not shooting it!... they think its not fair that they have to pay for other peoples paint... anyway... i'll be having words with Robbo... theirs only him and Jamie that dont like the idea.. i play mid/front myself,. and i really like the idea of pooling, that way it makes it fairer on the Backs and sheet....

Nudge you are right when you say it makes it fairer on back players on their wallets. But as said before by someone further up paintball is a team game and the back players need to shoot loads to let the front guys live. and if you end up paying more than you have used and you win a tourney then great it has been worth it. if not then its the back players round at the pub (round i meant round's lots of them lol)
