philip has it right, if you are buying an eclipse cocker, decide how you want to run it, ie, co2/air go to planet in old trafford and get jack to set it up. (they will do it free usually if you are buying the gun) then DONT fiddle with it! just put a bit of vaselene on the bolt 0-rings every time you play and every now and then (say every couple of months) bung maybe 2-3 drops of oil in the asa (where the bottle goes) and dont do anything else...thats pritty much what planet will tell you.
contrary to belief paintguns are better run with almost no lubrication due to the fact that if you get a load of dust or grit in there (and there is lots on paintball sites) you are makeing an excellent grinding paste in your nice new marker and it will eat itself to bits from the inside!

oh and buy a good barrel polisher! cos chances are if your cocker aint shooting right its coz you have a mucky barrel!

manchester is a good place to be if you have a cocker...coz if it does go wrong planet is nearby! hehehe mine lands up there nearly everytime i 'fix' something myself!

just to get thigs straight the ASA is where the gas goes in right??
Yup, it stands for Air Source Adapter, and usually refers to the place where the reg/co2 bottle screws in.

also how do you remove the bolt and gain acsess to the breach?
just take out the pin (usually mounted side-ways) that pins the bolt to the back block. then just pull it out. The breach is just the main tube of the marker (I just couldn't think of any better name for it).

are all the things that i need to actually do such as getting the right gas input pressure easy
as soon as i have enough money ill up grade to HPA anyway but where would i get my tank filled up nd how much more expensive is it? o and how do you replace all the seals and o-rings if there leaking ??
anyone whop tells me all dis THANKS! lol
Input pressure, you may want to get that all set up, but usually the front reg will deal with that. If you have an expensive air reg, like an armagendon, then you can, if you have a fixed output system (like the ACI Bulldog I have) then no need. Adjusting the low-pressure bit of the system (the cocking mechanism) is worth having done, but that is probably standard on the eclipse when you get it.

If the o-rings are inside any of the gubbins on the front or on your air source (or CO2) then unscrew the bit (a spanner may be necessary) and pull it off and put the new one on. The 3-way is a bit more tricky, I suggest that you get the Tech-trix video (anyone remember who can burn a copy?) that shows you how to do that bit. If they are in the valve assembley then take it to an airsmith, get them to do it!

Air is available at tourneys (sometimes the teams have to order it adn you will need a fill station), and at some rec sites again sometimes needing you to order it. Yes its more expensive, coz co2 is usually free, but its not that bad when split with your teammates, and is worth it for the lack of hassel etc!

As far as squeegeys go I would recomend a stick (or straightshot) and a dogtail (fluffy flexable thing) too

Good luck
