Mask, gun, barrel. In that order. Starting off with an A5 or similarly priced marker may be a better idea than going all out for something more expensive, but then again, few months time you'll want that more expensive gun so yeah.. Go for it!

Yup ill back Terry up there, im new to this and also have a Invert Mini, but brand new , Feel the newer ones are slightly better have a better board due to accessibility

There is a great variaty of good, cheap markers, the PE guns Etek 4 for poppet (open-bolt) and Etha for spooly (closed-bolt) Are the best in price/quality if you ask me. Allthough they are a little more expensive they Mini's, I consider them better value for money.
A mate lent me a Smart Parts Ion a few weeks ago as my own marker was damaged. Have to say it worked a treat and is a decent affordable little marker.
Have to say though, I've heard nothing but rave reviews about the Etha and Etek, think they're about as safe a bet as you will fine.
