ahhhh ok. I bought an entire metric set for about £7 but i lost half of em..how much seperately?

You'll be lucky to find them seperate, other than from an engineering supplier. I use screwdriver style allen keys from rs components, they're about £4 each but good quality, and an excellent fit, which is really important.
In the teching business good tools are important, but for home use, a good quality set is fine.

Long ones are more use for angels than short ones, and ball ends are good but you will need to use the standard end to loosen stubborn screws, the screws i've seen with the ball end snapped off, and firmly jammed in the head.
